Meet Dr. Paul Carpenter
Dr. Paul Carpenter has been providing chiropractic care to the residents of Bridgeport, Connecticut with his colleagues at Chiropractic Associates of Bridgeport since 1979. Dr. Carpenter has received a great deal of recognition from his chiropractic counterparts both locally and nationally in the nearly 40 years he has been practicing.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Rider University in 1974, Dr. Paul Carpenter attended the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. His first stop after graduating from NYCC was in Bridgeport, and his love for the community has kept him there. Dr. Carpenter is constantly working to expand his knowledge on many topics relating to chiropractic care. He continues to take classes in sports injuries, workman compensation, headaches, personal injury, head and neck pain, lower back pain, and overall wellness. Dr. Carpenter holds a certificate in Whiplash Injuries from the Spine Institute of San Diego and is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Providing Chiropractic care for nearly 40 years has helped Dr. Carpenter understand the importance of living and promoting a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. He has been a dedicated runner for the majority of his life and has run a number of marathons. He always makes an effort to devote time to running during the week and often runs with a local running group, Easton Runners. The Easton Runners is a like-minded group of men and women who all share a passion for running. The group welcomes runners of every level and supports each runner in accomplishing his or her running goals. They also sponsor runs for both Christmas and Thanksgiving to give back to the community.
When he is not in the office or on a run, Dr. Paul Carpenter spends time pursuing his hobby as a marine aquarist. Dr. Carpenter bought his first freshwater aquarium when he was 12 years old and quickly found himself making three trips per week to the pet store as his interest grew. Since that time, he has taken his passion to new heights by owning a 300-gallon state of the reef aquarium in his home and a 500-gallon reef aquarium in his office. When a local fish store went out of business, Paul purchased their store system of 35 tanks and equipment to install in his basement. That system brought Paul’s total volume to 1800 gallons. His aquariums contain exotic fish, invertebrates, crabs and lobsters, and various reefs from across the world.
